The Compliance Certification Clearinghouse offers annual membership opportunities to Insurers and Distributors in the long-term care insurance community.

Insurer Members

Insurer Members receive access to the industry's only clearinghouse of mandatory long-term care partnership training information and data, including the ClearCert Resource Center, Agent Look-up and Reciprocity Tracker.

Benefits of Insurer Membership

  1. Shifting of Compliance Liability - ClearCert conducts a course review of each course offering by participating training vendors. If a course is certified by ClearCert, Insurer Members are assured that the course is fully compliant with state requirements, and that training vendors have followed procedures that are fully acceptable to insurers.

  2. Course Content Review – ClearCert validates course content using a model created by a team of expert long-term care trainers. Insurer Members need only validate the content model, instead of individual courses. ClearCert's complete listing of "certified courses" makes it easy for agents to find courses and obtain full compliance with training requirements.

  3. One-Stop Compliance Reporting - ClearCert offers insurers single-source access to agent compliance status drawn from course completions reported by all Network Providers.

  4. Faster Business Processing – Speed business processing through compliance status records that are always available - because sometimes agents (and their documents) aren't.

 

Distributor Members

Distributor Members (Managing General Agencies, Broker-Dealers and any organizations distributing LTC insurance) receive access to ClearCert's Agent Look-up and Reciprocity Tracker in order to validate and document agent completion of required training before submitting an LTCi application to the insurer.

Benefits of Distributor Membership

  • Prevents New Business Procesing Delays - The primary benefit of Distributor Membership is preventing delays of new business processing due to producer non-compliance with mandatory training. Through ClearCert, distributors can validate a producer's compliance status instantly, using the same tool the insurer uses to check compliance status. This prevents delays to consumers and agent compensation.
  • Direct Access to Current State Specific Training Regulations - Distributor Members have access to the industry's authoritative source of regulatory information so they can direct their agents to needed training. By directing their agents to ClearCert Network Providers, distributors ensure that agents have access to approved courses, and proof of compliance status is always available, instantly.
  • Agent Reciprocity Tracker - This is a tool available only to ClearCert Members. The tracker gives real-time answers to the question, "What states reciprocate the NAIC/Partnership Training completions?"
